Mya is a military kid who's been thinking up stories for as long as she can remember. From playing pretend on the playground to writing her own, bringing stories to life has always been a part of her life. She received her BFA in Creative writing from Full Sail University and is in pursuit of her MFA from Lindenwood.

 

If she can tell a story with it, she'll probably try to harness it. This has led her to branch out from prose and poetry into things like comics, TV, and games. She is always searching for ways to hone her skills and tell stories only she can tell. Stories with heroes that look like her for kids that look like her from homes like hers. Everyone should be able to see themselves in the stories they consume and Mya's hope is to bring that to them with as much respect and love as she can.
